Colin Allotments

The Colin Allotments represent an important community asset that is used by both the wider Colin community and people from outside the area.

The facility offers a range of horticultural courses and cookery classes and is used by schools, Men’s Shed groups and public bodies to support innovative approaches to health and well-being and community engagement.

Children from schools across the Colin and North Belfast Urban Village areas visit the site weekly. The Urban Villages initiative supports a range of programmes that offer nutrition and gardening courses to primary schools.

Natural World Products have been instrumental in sharing the no-dig methods of gardening to improve the soil health and productivity of the allotment space at Colin Allotments in Belfast.

Matthew McKinley, Manager of Colin Allotments would like to thank Natural World Products for their very kind support.

"On behalf of all the plot holders at Colin Allotments, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Natural World Products for their very kind support in providing peat-free compost and teaching us the methods of no- dig gardening.

The compost has been a huge help in improving the soil quality of our allotments, and the no-dig method has been a revelation. It has made gardening much easier and more enjoyable, and we are already seeing the benefits in the health and productivity of our crops.

We are very grateful for Natural World Products' support, and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the future."
